Afife has been working in the humanitarian sector, since 2012, in different capacities and sectors. She has extensive work experiences with various I/NGOs operational in Turkey. Afife has worked as project manager in various in Cash Aid and Food Security Projects in Emergency Response Programs in Northern Syria, Aegean Region and Istanbul, her earlier work experiences in the sector includes risk education, demographic profiling, food security, emergencies, and media and communication.

She is a graduate of Maltepe University, Department of Philosophy, and has a master’s degree in Cultural Studies, at Istanbul Bilgi University.
